Jazz, the American art form born over 100 years ago, has been constantly evolving while embracing its past.  The American Art Ensemble, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is a jazz quartet rooted in the style of the great Chet Baker/Gerry Mulligan collaboration, but striving to create forward-thinking compositions and improvisation.
